Hi there, I'm Alejandra!

Hi, I am Alejandra Gutierrez (She/Her/Ella). My approach to therapy is grounded in the belief that healing ourselves is crucial to healing our families, communities, and world. As a bilingual, bicultural practitioner, I actively integrate clients' identities and strengths into treatment. Developing a strong therapeutic relationship is very important to me and I take the time to listen to your story so that we can co-create goals and a plan that will allow you to live your life with more ease, joy, and confidence. I have experience working with BIPOC teens, families, and young adults on issues such as school, academic issues, micro/macro-aggressions, tokenism, acculturation, imposter syndrome, transitions, colorism, relationship issues, and LGBTQIA+ identity. I have over 10 years of school-based experience. My work as an LCSW within the BIPOC communities both in Los Angeles and Chicago has led me to focus my therapeutic practice on how we can integrate self-care and self-acceptance into our resistance efforts so that we can grow from surviving to thriving as individuals and as a community. It would be a privilege to be a part of your healing journey.
