My focus
I have found that my style and approach is a a good fit for couples and individuals from the age of 8 years old to 99 years old who may be dealing with life challenges from academic performance issues to severe symptoms of mental illness. This often takes the form of anxiety, depression, stress, as well as work and relationship problems. I work to help my clients navigate these life challenges and to acquire safe coping skills to promote a healthy sense of emotional well-being.
My communication style
My communication style is calm, accommodating, and attentive. I pride myself on my ability to listen without judgment. After the initial session, you can expect a wonderful start to a great therapeutic relationship. I give homework assignments from time to time. However, if your preference is to receive more emotional support as opposed to acquiring safe coping skills (CBT) - this of course will be fine with me. Please note, we will most likely engage in various therapeutic activities during our live sessions without you acquiring any homework. You can expect to learn safe coping skills such as emotional freedom techniques/tapping, grounding techniques, etc. You will receive empathy consistently. Your progress will be evaluated throughout the therapeutic process. You can expect to receive desirable results from an ongoing therapeutic alliance that works for you!
