Hi there, I'm Sarah!

Hi. My name is Sarah Allbright. I am a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist at PATH. I strive to provide a safe space for clients and highlight strengths to help create opportunities for growth. I view the client as the expert and my ability to offer support, empathy, and an unbiased perspective as key to therapy.

My approach

I have experience working with all ages of individuals as well as couples and families utilizing interventions from cognitive behavioral and acceptance and commitment therapy, motivational interviewing, strength-based approaches, and mindfulness practices. I appreciate each one of us has our own story and preferences and purposefully tailor interventions and approach to allow for effective collaboration.

My focus

I enjoy collaborating with clients during the transition and facing life challenges as well as treating disorders including anxiety, depression, OCD, PTSD, and Bipolar.

My communication style

I aim to welcome you into a safe space for us to look at what's going right and what could be improved. Through collaboration achieve a better understanding of the present, and the past and build optimism about the future.

My journey to therapy

One of my highest values includes altruism-helping others so I always saw myself working in a helping profession. I feel fortunate and appreciate how my life experiences, work history, education and personality, and deep genuine curiosity to understand others, have afforded me the opportunity to do this work, collaborate be challenged, and continue to learn and grow each day.

My goals for you

Goal setting is a collaborative process between client and therapist to help clarify targets for growth and informs which interventions will be used and determines a timeline for targeted goals to be achieved.

My first session with you

During the first session, I strive to make each client feel safe and comfortable to begin to share their story. I start by explaining and answering questions about office policies and expectations for therapy as well as using our first session to gather intake information to ensure a "good fit."
