Hello, I'm Raquel Acosta, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I strive to create a warm, supportive, and collaborative therapeutic environment for my clients.
My approach
My therapeutic approach is engaging and non-judgmental. I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), but I tailor my methods to the unique needs of each client.
My focus
I work with a diverse clientele of adults experiencing a range of challenges, including social phobia, anxiety, depression, grief, stress, abuse, low self-esteem, relationship and family issues, PTSD, workplace difficulties, and court-mandated cases.
My communication style
I am a supportive and empathetic listener. My communication style is warm and collaborative as I work with you to navigate life's challenges.
My journey to mental healthcare
My journey in mental healthcare began with providing therapy at The Center for Individual and Family Counseling from August 2013 to December 2014, followed by The Valley Prevention & Treatment Center from November 2015 to July 2019. These experiences solidified my passion for helping others heal and grow.
My goals for you
My goal is to provide a safe space where you feel heard, validated, and empowered to work through any obstacles you face. Together, we will develop coping strategies and insights to improve your well-being and quality of life.
My first session with you
During our first session, we'll discuss what brings you to therapy and collaborate to create a treatment plan tailored to your specific needs and goals. I aim to establish a foundation of trust and understanding from the very beginning of our work together.
