I am a CA licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. My approach is client-centered. I work collaboratively with individuals to create treatment goals, while meeting them where they are with empathy, compassion, and a non-judgmental attitude.
My approach
I utilize dialectical behavior therapy to assist individuals suffering from depression, anxiety, and many other conditions for which it is helpful. DBT is based on mindfulness, emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness.
My focus
I typically work with clients experiencing depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, or life transitions. I have experience working with eating disorders as well as substance abuse.
My communication style
I aim to create a warm environment where the client may be comfortable to be themselves and be able to develop a relationship where they will open up about deeper thoughts, feelings, and concerns.
My journey to mental healthcare
I began working as a therapist because I enjoy helping people struggling by partnering with them to help them live up to their potential for happiness, peace, connection, and success.
My goals for you
I collaborate with clients to create functional goals where they will be proactive in therapy to make progress that feels reasonable to accomplish.
My first session with you
In the first session, I will gather information to get to know the client, and how I can serve them best. I will also share about myself and address any questions or concerns they have about engaging in therapy. We will create treatment goals and begin to build rapport in order to work together toward those goals.
