Hello! My name is Lisa Logan and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I have been providing therapy for the past twenty years to individuals looking to improve their mental health and quality of life. My focus has been on depression, anxiety, anger management, and setting life goals.
My approach
I utilize approaches from Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Positive Psychology. My specific approach with you will be tailored to your needs and how you approach challenges in your life.
My focus
I am available to provide teletherapy throughout the state of California. My approach suits adults of all ages who are looking to improve their quality of life, relationships, and overall mental health.
My communication style
My communication style balances both validation and change. My approach allows me to help you feel accepted and understood while also encouraging you to do the work you need to do to achieve your personal goals.
My journey to mental healthcare
Throughout my life, I have always found joy in helping others. I chose this career because it affords me to help others reach their goals and improve their lives. I want others to feel heard, understood, and supported. I have found that so many feel as though they have never been truly heard or understood and with a solid therapeutic relationship they can begin to grow and find peace in their lives.
My goals for you
When we sit down to discuss your goals for therapy we will identify the biggest, most audacious life goal you have and break it down into specific behaviors we need to address to help you get there. I follow the SMART goal-setting pattern of making sure your goals are specific, measurable, achievable, and have a specific timetable.
My first session with you
During our first session, we will discuss your goals, challenges, and lifestyle. I will want to get to know you and make sure you feel comfortable with sharing your struggles with me. Our focus will be on the here and now while also acknowledging how your personal history led to you seeing therapy.
