My name is Brandy Head. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with about a decade of experience. The treatment style is adapted to meet your needs, not mine. You will always find me warm, accepting, and open to assisting you with any goals that you have.
My approach
I practice several treatment modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness-based therapy, brief solution-focused therapy, and a few more. I enjoy sharing new information with clients based on specific models that work for them.
My focus
I enjoy helping clients overcome challenges related to aging, grief, mood disorders, role changes, stress, medical challenges, and relationship issues. I have enjoyed working with veterans, caregivers, parents, partners, and adult children.
My communication style
I create a safe and caring space for you to do the work necessary to overcome the current obstacles that block your path to contentment. I am a real person and often share my own experiences when appropriate.
My journey to mental healthcare
I began my journey as a social worker in long-term care. I learned respect for the human condition in all of its forms. I became an advocate, a researcher, a guide, and a mediator. I had the privilege to work with individuals, couples, and families during dark moments in their lives. I knew that I wanted to develop the knowledge, values, and skills to continue working with clients who are suffering.
My goals for you
Setting goals is a collaborative process. You are in the driver's seat and I help navigate.
My first session with you
The initial session is my opportunity to hear your story. I will ask lots of nosy questions so that we can build the best treatment plan for your needs.
