I like to take a comprehensive, collaborative approach to treatment and focus on building a professional and positive relationship versus treating a diagnosis. To me, it is important to build a genuine relationship based on trust, openness and honesty, that emphasizes meeting the client where they're at.
My approach
As a clinician, I utilize an integrative approach including Person-Centered techniques, Mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Narrative Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Solution Focused, Gestalt, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
My focus
I work with individuals and minors (ages 13-17) dealing with a wide range of issues, including ADHD, anxiety, bipolar disorder, depression, trauma, personality disorders, relationship issues, and more. My clinical experience includes working with clients that have suffered from trauma and abuse, as well as those within the foster care system and community mental health settings.
My communication style
I believe the client is the expert in their own lives, and my role is to help them become a healthier, happier version of themselves. My experience has taught me the importance of culture, gender, spirituality and to focus on the person as a whole.
My journey to mental healthcare
I earned my Masters of Arts (MA) from Argosy University in Orange, CA between October 2015 and September 2018. I completed my clinical hours for licensure at HarborView Behavioral in San Pedro, CA from July 2017 to August 2019, and at Starview Behavioral Health in Torrance, CA from September 2019 to September 2021.
My goals for you
My goal is to help you gain insight, develop coping skills, and make positive changes to improve your overall well-being. Together, we will work towards your personal growth and empowerment in a supportive and non-judgmental environment.
