Hi, my name is Reyno Acoba, LMFT. I have been a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist since 2008 in the state of California. I am an interactive, solution-focused therapist. I work with a wide range of emotional & behavioral issues that span from therapy for depression, grief counseling, parenting support, and beyond.
My approach
As a Multi-Cultural Counselor with 10 years of experience, I specialize in helping business owners increase revenue and productivity with less effort and develop a balance between life and work activities. I also provide counseling for college students who are not doing well academically and socially with their peers in school. My approach is to provide support and feedback to help clients address personal life challenges. With compassion and understanding, I work with individuals to build on their strengths and attain the growth they are committed to accomplishing.
My focus
In a comfortable & supportive atmosphere, I offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each of my client's individual needs to attain the personal growth they're striving for.
My communication style
I am very relatable and a good listener who conveys genuine and authentic empathy and rapport with all of my clients.
My journey to therapy
I have been in the mental health field since 1998 working at various inpatient and outpatient mental health psychiatric hospitals as well as substance abuse treatment facilities in Los Angeles and Orange Counties. I attended UC Irvine and graduated in 2002 with a double major in Psychology and Sociology for my undergraduate studies. In 2005, I graduated from Vanguard University with my master's degree in Clinical Psychology. In 2008, I earned my Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist license to earn the right to professional help people. Currently, I work as a supervisor with the County of Los Angeles DMH. Along the way, I've worked in private practice working with EAPs and clients that were referred to me by different managed care agencies. My calling in life is to help bring people to a better place compared to when I first met them and that's what drives me to maintain a private practice in addition to having a full-time career with the county of Los Angeles and balancing being a husband and father of two. I look forward to meeting you and helping you along your path to healing.
