Hello, my name is Charles Jones, but I go by Cass. I have been working as an addiction, Marriage & Family Therapist for thirty years. Throughout my career, I have found great satisfaction in helping individuals, families, and children heal from trauma and develop the coping skills needed to lead successful lives.
My approach
My therapeutic approach is rooted in attachment-based therapy. I work to create a safe, supportive environment where clients can explore their experiences, emotions, and relationships. By understanding and healing past wounds, we can build healthier attachments and foster personal growth.
My focus
I specialize in working with individuals, couples, families, and adolescents aged 13-17. My areas of focus include anger management, anxiety, behavioral issues, chronic pain, depression, divorce, family conflict, grief, parenting, relationship issues, self-esteem, self-harm, stress, suicidal ideation, trauma, PTSD, panic attacks, and developing coping skills.
My communication style
I believe in open, honest communication with my clients. I strive to create a non-judgmental space where you feel heard, understood, and supported. Together, we will work collaboratively to identify your goals, explore your challenges, and develop strategies for healing and growth.
My journey to mental healthcare
My journey in mental healthcare began over 30 years ago, working in recovery programs with addicts, alcoholics, and their families. As a Program Director with Los Angeles County, I worked with foster children and at-risk youth, leading Hospital Diversion, Emergency Response, and Wraparound teams. I completed my clinical hours for licensure under Rhea Harris-Junge in Glendale, CA from 1993 to 1996. Since then, I have primarily worked in private practice in the Pasadena-Sierra Madre areas, continuing to support those in recovery throughout my career.
My goals for you
My goal is to help you transform despair into hope and trauma into healing. Whether you are struggling with addiction, relationship issues, or mental health challenges, I am here to support you on your journey. Together, we will work to develop the insight, skills, and resilience you need to overcome obstacles and create positive change in your life.
My first session with you
During our first session, we will take time to get to know each other and discuss what brings you to therapy. I will listen to your story, concerns, and goals for our work together. We will begin to build a trusting therapeutic relationship and develop a plan tailored to your unique needs. You can expect a warm, empathetic, and collaborative approach as we embark on this journey of healing and personal growth.
