The journey of life can be a challenging one. We are often faced with situations and events that challenge us. Sometimes we feel alone, confused, uncertain, or afraid. We seek comfort and understanding. We want to change but are not sure how or what steps to take. We seek safety, security, and purpose. I will help you navigate through life's challenges and help you gently face your deepest struggles.
My approach
In a nonjudgmental way, I will meet you where you are at. We will work together at your pace as I encourage and empower you to live your fullest life. My approach draws from Acceptance and Commitment (ACT) therapy, Cognitive Behavioral (CBT) techniques, EMDR, Family Systems, Motivational Interviewing, Narrative therapy, Solution Focused methods, and Trauma Focused and Mindfulness-Based approaches.
My focus
I have extensive experience providing individual, couples, group, and family therapy to children, teens, and adults dealing with depression, anxiety, anger, trauma, PTSD, grief, divorce, identity issues, parenting, workplace challenges, and many other social and emotional challenges.
My communication style
My communication style is warm, collaborative, and client-centered. I aim to create a safe, supportive space where you feel heard and validated. Through empathetic listening and guided self-exploration, we'll work together to identify your strengths, set achievable goals, and develop practical coping strategies.
My journey to mental healthcare
My journey to mental healthcare began with earning my Master's in Counseling (MC) from the University of Phoenix between June 2013 and January 2017 in Pasadena, CA. I completed my clinical hours for licensure at Spiritt Family Services from December 2015 to 2017, Five Acres from 2017 to January 2019, and St. Anne's from January 2019 to August 2020.
My goals for you
My goal is to empower you with the self-awareness and tools to navigate life's challenges, foster meaningful relationships, and cultivate a deep sense of purpose. Through our work together, I aim to help you build resilience, gain fresh perspectives, and develop a stronger connection with your authentic self.
My first session with you
In our first session, we'll focus on building rapport and creating a warm, collaborative therapeutic relationship. I'll invite you to share your story, discussing what brings you to therapy and your hopes for our work together. We'll begin to identify your strengths, explore your current challenges, and start mapping out a personalized treatment plan tailored to your unique needs and goals.
