Hi there, I'm Bob!

I retired from Saddleback Church, where I was Pastor of Pastoral Care for 17+ years. I've been a licensed marriage and family counselor for 30+ years. I'm passionate about helping people have abundant life. I respect the fact that everyone needs to make a personal decision about their faith, but I do approach therapy using Christian perspectives and values. I was with the 82nd Airborne Division & Drill Instructor--later becoming a pastor/counselor. I'm patient and respectful and work with individuals, me,n and women, from anger to workaholism. I seldom find an isolated issue like anger that does not include other issues, such as communication and knowing how to build relationships. Good communication is a critical function to resolving problems and conflicts. I'm patient with my clients, and I want them to be patient with themselves as they move through the change process. I help my clients recognize the cost of not changing can cost them the relationships of the ones they love.
