Jacqueline Gordon, LPCC - Our sessions will be problem-solving and focused on teaching you critical skills to better manage life and your important relationships. I work with people who are struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues.
My approach
I use a variety of approaches, with some knowledge of addiction treatment. I also implement a solution- focused, narrative therapy, supportive therapy, and cognitive-behavioral interventions as needed. We will work together to use one or more of these approaches to help you make deep and lasting changes in your life.
My focus
I work with teens, adults, and couples who have had emotional regulation trauma healing challenges, are stuck in self-defeating patterns, have repeated relationship conflicts, or have stopped progressing in life. I can help you gain insight, change negative patterns, achieve consistent Recovery from addictions, and live a happier life.
My communication style
Maybe you want to improve your relationships and self-esteem or gain clarity. Whatever brings you here today, you are likely looking for someone you can trust. A place where you can feel safe to share personal aspects of yourself. Someone who will listen, help you make sense of what may be happening in your life, and help you get to where you want to be. My approach begins with establishing a client-therapist relationship by creating a safe, empathic, nonjudgmental environment that allows you to process your feelings, thoughts, and emotions. I foster autonomy by offering supportive and reflective feedback that helps improve your self-esteem, and with a collaborative approach to treatment goals/objectives, you will improve your decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
