Hi there, I'm Shelby!

You're feeling lonely, frustrated with your job, annoyed with school, and upset about something that happened years ago. You've tried journaling, meditating, and going on a run, but nothing seems to create lasting change. It isn't easy to take action when you're stuck in your head and ruminating over your thoughts. You want to nurture your friendships and relationships. You want to feel fulfilled at your job. You want to love yourself. I work with women on self-esteem issues, overanalyzing situations, and setting boundaries. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, mental health therapist, and Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT-200), I utilize traditional talk therapy with EMDR (a modality that treats any level of distress through bilateral stimulation) to help you get to the root of your symptoms. I incorporate principles of yoga, meditation, and mindfulness into our work together so that you can begin to integrate your mind and body and discover what you're actually feeling. Trained at Columbia University in New York, I have been practicing in the field of Social Work and therapy for over ten years. I've designed and implemented treatment programs for mental health and addiction in Los Angeles and have held titles such as Clinical Therapist, Family Therapist, Program Director, Clinical Director, and CEO. I'm passionate about helping people integrate their minds and body to experience their emotions holistically.
