Hi there, I'm Wendy!

Welcome! My name is Wendy Mullen. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Certified Professional Coach (CPC), and a leading Southern California therapist servicing the greater Los Angeles area for over 30 years. I work with adults and specialize in substance use disorders, trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, grief, loss, and serious mental illness. I am deeply committed to creating a safe and welcoming environment where you can find solace and embark on your healing journey.

My approach

My approach is client-centered and solution-focused. I have a longstanding reputation for excellence in behavioral and mental health treatment. I have dedicated my career to providing compassionate care and empowering individuals to achieve lasting recovery and personal transformation.

My focus

As a licensed clinical social worker with a diverse range of skills and extensive experience in various therapeutic modalities, I have the experience to guide individuals on their journey to recovery. My advanced training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness and Psychotherapy, and Trauma Informed Care further enhances my ability to provide effective and evidenced-based treatment to those experiencing mental health concerns, substance use disorders, and the effects of trauma.

My communication style

My communication style is warm, engaging, intentional, honest, open, and thoughtful. I am deeply committed to creating a safe space that fosters healing and personal growth.

My journey to mental healthcare

My journey to becoming a therapist began in Massachusetts while attending Smith College School for Social Work. It is there I discovered the intersection between psyche and soul. To live deeply in every moment, we direct the the mind and body to become one. We learn how to focus our attention and to listen without reacting and judging. We learn how to open our hearts, experience freedom, and to release pain and suffering. It is an honor and privilege to do this work.

My goals for you

Together we will explore your life's purpose. Set priorities and achieve what matters most. Learn how to stop having the same destructive conversations. Rebuild trust, affection, and intimacy. Choose how to best spend your time, Live with passion and create a life worth living. Lastly, I will encourage you to go all in! I promise the journey is worth it.

My first session with you

I bring a wealth of knowledge and a deep commitment to fostering health and personal growth. Our first session together is about getting to know you and understanding your current health, habits, and behaviors. I will listen with care as you explain where you have been and where you would like to go. Together we will build trust, create a nurturing space where healing thrives and create an individualized treatment plan that is right for you.
