Hi there, I'm Gabia!

I am a bilingual licensed marriage and family therapist with 14 years of experience helping with a diversity of mental health concerns. I have been providing individual psychotherapy and couple therapy to individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, abandonment, relationship issues, stress, self-esteem issues, mood disorders, emotionally distressed, and marital problems. I also have experience providing mental health treatment to individuals convicted of a crime detained in federal detention facilities or transitioning out of federal prison. In addition to providing sex offender treatment and sexual education to juveniles who present with sexually deviant behavior. My approach is genuine, empathetic, and compassionate, I believe in change and second chances, I am a strong believer in recovery, and I practice unconditional positive regard to create a healthy, respectful, and professional therapeutic relationship. My approach to therapy is to utilize evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Emotional Focused Therapy, Behavioral Therapy, Gestalt, Eclectic, and Solution Focused.
