I am licensed in California & Ohio with 15 years of professional work experience. I have experience in helping clients with stress and anxiety, relationship issues, family conflicts, & coping with grief and loss. I believe that you are the expert on your story and that you have many strengths that will assist you in overcoming things that challenge you. Taking the first step to sign up for therapy can take courage and I am proud of you for getting started!
My approach
My therapeutic orientation/expertise is cognitive behavioral therapy and psychodynamic and systems. I enjoy working with the family, as well as with the individual client to provide a holistic approach to care.
My focus
I have experience in helping clients with stress and anxiety, relationship issues, family conflicts, & coping with grief and loss. I have worked with people of all ages and life experiences.
My communication style
I am a straight talker, honest, and will validate you; however, I will also challenge you.
My journey to therapy
I have always enjoyed helping people, which is why I chose to study social work in college. After working 5 years as a case manager, I decided to go back to school to gain my Master of Social Work degree. After completion, I immediately started gaining clinical hours toward licensure and did school-based therapy. I eventually decided to stop working in schools and continue my career in teletherapy.
My goals for you
I believe the client should be in control of their treatment and goal-setting process. I will support the client in this process by discussing their concerns and guiding them if needed.
My first session with you
The first session will be an initial assessment to gather information related to the problem/concerns and also historical information that contributes to the client's functioning and/or problem.
