Hi there, I'm Jason!

Deciding to enter therapy demonstrates courage and humility. These are the foundations of psychological and spiritual growth that we will utilize to propel you forward through your journey and into your new life. You do not have to do it alone. I am here, ready to go with you on that journey. Counseling is more than simply reducing symptoms, it is a process by which you can enrich your life through addition and subtraction. It is not just about learning new skills to handle stress, but also learning how to let go of fears. It is usually fear and sadness that prevent us from reaching our true, confident, passionate selves. Through this experience of self-discovery, you can find what you really want in life without those old barriers holding you back. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW # 66338) and Commissioned Officer in the California Army National Guard (CA ARNG) with over 15 years of military behavioral health service beginning in 2006 when I enlisted as a Mental Health Specialist. I graduated in 2011 from the University of Southern California with a Master of Social Work degree specializing in mental health and military/veteran services and was commissioned through the Reserve Officer Training Corps as a Medical Service Corps Officer in the California Army Reserve National Guard. I am currently serving as a Clinical Social Work Officer in the CA ARNG and as the active-duty Behavioral Health Officer providing support to CA ARNG Soldiers, families, and veterans in San Diego, Imperial, and Riverside Counties. I completed a Graduate Certificate in Sport Psychology in 2016 to help athletes and veterans perform at a high level and to help corporate “athletes” excel in their jobs and careers. I take a compassionate, empathic, non-judgmental approach to you and your life. I use a combination of Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) techniques and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with a humanistic, client-centered, systems perspective. Let us work together to move forward, creating the life that you have always wanted.
