Hi there, I'm Mckenna!

I pursued a career in clinical social work because of the empowerment, strengths-based, and person-in-environment approach. I have been intentional throughout the last ten years in acquiring experience in an array of settings, including school, medical, and community-based environments, to develop a well-rounded approach to services. I pursued graduate school in Southern California to learn in the urban setting of Los Angeles. This led me to provide intensive in-home mental health services in South Los Angeles before adopting a new specialization and focusing on early childhood mental health. I have offered early intervention mental health services to address various needs. I am trained in Child-Parent Psychotherapy to address early childhood trauma for 0 to 5-year-olds. This eclectic path and wide range of experiences have enriched my cultural responsiveness and humility. It also emphasized why I pursued this as my vocation: the privilege of accompanying others on their journey and witnessing individuals explore how to achieve a new sense of stability. I welcome you to a safe space to process difficult emotions or previous experiences that may continue to impact your behavioral health, emotional well-being, or interpersonal relationships today. I look forward to working together to explore what you are seeking from therapy and how I can support you.
