Hi there, I'm Haig!

I grew up in the state of Michigan and moved to California in the 60s. I decided to become a therapist in my 20's and received my B.A. in Psychology. However, I was single, working in the airline industry, and enjoying travel and postings in other countries. I lived and worked in Japan for 2 years and in Singapore for 2 years. I finally decided to pursue my lifelong interest and obtained my Masters's degree in Clinical Psychology and my license as a Marriage and Family Therapist in California. I worked for 7 years with an agency that provided mental health and case management services to the homeless and for the past 8 years with seniors, many of whom have serious medical conditions that render them homebound. I provided therapy to their caregivers as well. Over the years, I have engaged clients from all walks of life in over 6,000 therapy sessions, primarily in the Cognitive Behavioral and Motivational Interviewing therapy protocols. I have certification in Grief and Mourning and Spiritual counseling. I am also an Adjunct Professor in the Psychology Department at California State University, Dominguez Hills, in the Los Angeles area.
