Hi, I'm Dairine Pearson, LCSW. I provide a compassionate, client-centered approach to therapy and will work with you to find solutions that fit your needs and situation. I specialize in grief, loss and life transitions.
My approach
My approach is collaborative, compassion-based and humanistic, using self-awareness, mindfulness and positive psychology approaches to help people going through pain and life transition.
My focus
I have worked extensively with people who have lost a loved one, who are experiencing a loss of health, occupation or other life losses and transitions, and with caregivers caring for someone with serious and /or chronic illness.
My communication style
I am warm, welcoming and respectful. I convey that I really care about how you are doing and I am an ally in finding solutions that work for you.
My journey to mental healthcare
Early life experience with loss led me towards my own therapy and finding I had a passionate interest in helping others with grief, loss and life transitions. I have worked for many years with people facing their own end of life or who have experienced other life losses. These types of losses can make a person feel like their life has ended, too. I help people find their way again to happier, healthier lives.
My goals for you
I work closely with clients to find meaningful goals that represent progress and healing for them.
My first session with you
In the first session, we start with building trust and rapport, exploring what brings the client to therapy, identify key issues and discuss goals for therapy.
