Hi there, I'm Cynthia!

My name is Lyn McCall, I am a licensed addiction counselor. I have been working as a counselor for the past 29 years. My work focuses on a variety of issues: addiction, anxiety, depression, OCD, PTDS, gender identify, just to name a few.

My approach

I specialize in EMDR, (CBT) Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and (DBT) Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Exposure Therapy.

My focus

Addiction and/or co-occurring mental health disorders has been my focus throughout my career. I am comfortable working with adolescents or adults, both male and female.

My communication style

I provide a safe and calm environment for my clients. Building trust is my highest priority.

My journey to mental healthcare

Influenced by my own therapy, I was motivated to become a therapist. Coming from a long family history of addiction, I was naturally attracted to the mental health field. I want to teach others that they can overcome and get through whatever life throws at you. Together we can get through obstacles and barriers.

My goals for you

I start by asking clients what their overall goal really is. Identifying a starting point is next. Helping your clients face and understand exactly where they are in terms of this goal is a good place to start. It's important that they are honest with themselves as well, by examining where things currently stand.

My first session with you

Starting therapy is similar to starting with a new doctor. My initial meeting is used to collect information on your history, to find out what you believe the problem to be and to help you identify your short term and long term goals.
