I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with over 30 years of professional experience providing psychotherapy services. I speak English and Spanish. I provide my clients with a unique approach to helping them identify and achieve specific therapy goals in a confidential, empathetic, and trusting atmosphere.
My approach
I use an Insight approach, where I help, a better understanding of my patients that leads to “individualized solutions”. My treatment approach is short-term, problem-oriented therapy sustained by my psychoanalytic background. I use a combination of cognitive-behavioral, psycho-educational, and humanistic modalities, as well as evidence-based techniques. I have had the honor to serve a diversity of individuals and their families in a variety of settings, such as community mental health, crisis helplines, and outpatient programs (in a hospital setting).
My focus
I specialize in the treatment of depression, anxiety, panic attacks and phobias, relationship difficulties, life transitions, and behavioral issues. I have a special experience with midlife and empty nest transitions, career and work issues, aging, loss, divorce, and cultural adjustments.

My journey to mental healthcare
With more than 32 years of clinical experience, I work with adults presenting with a diversity of problems. I am a License Mental Health counselor in the state of Florida and a licensed clinical psychologist in Argentina, I provide psychodynamic and cognitive behavioral therapies to help people move beyond roadblocks toward personal growth. I am skilled in assisting clients to navigate through life's problems and acquire the coping skills necessary to provide both symptom relief and greater satisfaction with life. I enjoy working with motivated clients willing to make the changes necessary to achieve a more gratifying and meaningful life. I am a most enthusiastic clinician grateful and honored to be in a profession that allows me to guide and witness an individual's journey toward personal growth. My academic training and diverse job functions have, indeed, shaped me into the well-rounded Mental Health Counselor I am today.
