I work to empower individuals to improve their relationships with themselves and others. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and have extensive experience working with individuals who seek growth through interpersonal issues.

My approach to treatment is tailored to each client’s personality and therapeutic goals.
My focus
Areas of interest include but are not limited to working with individuals who may be struggling with anxiety, depression, substance abuse, addiction, trauma, grief, and/or relationship issues. In addition, I enjoy working with individuals in a safe and therapeutic setting.
My communication style
My communication style is always tailored to benefit the Client's needs and their ability to receive. Thus I actively engage with my Clients providing appropriate support and feedback while attaining clarity.
My journey to mental healthcare
I have over 20 years of therapeutic experience beginning in 1999 and working in an inpatient facility with children and adolescents. Over the years my experience has grown as I have worked with a variety of populations. I was born to be a therapist. I am very investigative, intuitive, empathic, and nurturing. I believe in second, third, and fourth chances to be a better you.
My goals for you
My focus is to help individuals heal, become inspired, and be aware of their inner strengths. I achieve this by listening to your concerns, customizing a treatment plan, and being a part of your support team. I utilize evidence-based practices, and an array of treatment modalities to identify treatment goals and objectives. My goal is to help you grow from your struggles, heal from your pain, and move forward to where you want to be in your life. I promise to respect your rights to self-determination, your course of treatment, and your success. I look forward to walking your journey with you.
My first session with you
The initial visit is a period for you and your therapist to get to know each other and get an idea of how to proceed: Building Rapport; Listening actively and asking questions to gather history. Normalizing and validation: Letting them know that any nervousness or anxiety they feel about the first session is common. Asking them not only what led them to seek therapy, but what they'd like to get out of therapy: Clinical Concerns and Therapy Goals. Lastly establishing a treatment schedule and assigning homework (not to scare anyone).
