My name is Sarah Basler, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, LCSW. Therapy is a big step. I am happy you are looking for a therapist for yourself or a loved one. I have over 20 years of experience providing counseling to adolescents and adults.
My approach
My approach to therapy is client-centered, using motivational interviewing, self-care practices, Cognitive behavioral therapy, and Dialectal Behavior therapy. These are evidence-based treatments that are used to help overcome a variety of life stressors.
My focus
I have experience treating substance use, anxiety, depression, stress, and trauma. My goal is to help you on your path to healing. I like to meet you where you are and help you be the best version of yourself. Transitions and life can be hard. I am here to guide you through life's challenges.
My communication style
My communication style is open, understanding, and supportive. Therapy is a safe place to process difficult life transitions, improve coping skills for healthy self-care, and is a non-judgmental space to unload those bottled-up thoughts and feelings.
My journey to therapy
I became a therapist because I have seen the power of the process. I am a helper; I believe that when we find that safe place to open up, we can overcome anything together.
My goals for you
I absolutely love that I can make a difference in people's lives by providing a safe space for clients. It is my goal to support, listen, advocate, and help you work through tough situations life can bring.
My first session with you
It is not always easy reaching out for guidance, and I assure you that this is the next best step to feeling and being the best version of yourself. In our first session, we will discuss what your goals are and work on a plan that will start you on that path!
