My Name Is Roxane Blanchard Johnson. I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor; licensed in the state of Maryland (MD LCPC LC7096). I have over 18 years of experience working as a psychotherapist and life coach. I am a trauma-informed therapist and a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, PTSD, Trauma, Adults with Childhood Abuse, and ADHD. I have also helped many people who have experienced physical trauma and emotional abuse. My therapy style is warm and interactive. I tailor dialog and treatment plans to meet your unique and specific needs. I want my clients to experience a safe, affirming environment where a healthy therapeutic relationship can be fostered.

My journey to mental healthcare

I enrolled in the counseling program when I attended seminary. After taking one counseling course I knew I had found my calling. I have always been motivated to help others and in my role as a therapist, I get to help others on the journey to mental wellness. I am excited when I witness the changes in clients that I work with. This drives me to continually grow my areas of expertise in order to help more people.

My goals for you

In setting goals it is important to get the client's commitment. I work with the client to develop goals that are achievable, and measurable, helping the client to achieve the success they want.

My first session with you

During the initial session, I ask open-ended questions that help to understand the client's reason for starting therapy. I describe my therapeutic approach and before the end of the discussion, I provide clients with at least one tool or technique that they can begin using to manage their symptoms.
