Hi there, I'm Misty!

I have been working in the Behavior and Mental Health Field since 2003. I attended Georgia Southern University, where I received a BS in Sociology with a Minor in Criminal Justice and continued to receive a Master’s in Education, Community Counseling. I am currently licensed as a Clinical Mental Health Counselor in North Carolina and a Licensed Professional Counselor in South Carolina. I have been fully licensed since 2012. I became certified as a Life Coach through The Tony Gaskins Life Coach Academy in 2020. I use a variety of therapeutic models as I believe no two people are exactly alike. I tailor my service from a person-centered and strengths approach using a combination of Mindfulness, CBT, and Solution-focused modalities. I work well with individuals struggling with depression and low self-esteem, anger management, and everyday stress. I have learned that we can overcome and discover our true purpose and rediscover our passion for life through life’s obstacles. It’s not a matter of if or even how. It’s a matter of when.
