I am Richard McDonald, and I hold licenses in both mental health counseling and as a clinical addiction specialist. I am also certified in dialectical behavior therapy, trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy, and as a mindfulness trainer.

I am a certified dialectical behavior therapist and a nationally rostered trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapist. I am a Mindful X trainer as well as experienced in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.

My journey to mental healthcare
I have been in the human service field for at least 30 years where I have worked with many individuals and populations. I have been a licensed addiction specialist and licensed clinical mental health counselor for the past 5 years in which I have applied therapeutic interventions that have helped many of my clients. I enjoy seeing my clients succeed with their issues and in their lives.

I approach goal setting by listening to my client and assisting them with developing goals that are consistent with their issues and values
