Hello, My name is Janvier Gholson and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I believe therapy and reaching people is a passion as I have been working with various people for several years wanting others to reach their full potential..
My approach
I have so many modalities that I utilize but the top approaches are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing.
My focus
The typical clients that I enjoy working with are individuals, adults, and adolescents from various backgrounds.
My communication style
My approach is a calm environment, daylight in my background, a fan for noise and music if the client is interested in soft music.
My journey to mental healthcare
Growing up I would help others, feed the homeless, go to help at church, and want to understand others. I approach others with an open mind. My goal is to help others achieve goals set and possibly make life a little easier.
My goals for you
While setting a goal in place, I often ask the client for 3-4 goals they can obtain with guidance within the first 6 months.
My first session with you
During the first session, I like to gather information from my client to see how I can best assist them.
