My approach
I practice from a psychoanalysis, psychodynamic, behavioral, cognitive, humanistic and integrative approach.
My focus
I work with many different clients with unique backgrounds. I specialize in working with Clients who have the following issues: Behavioral Issues, career issues, codependency, learning coping skills, cultural adjustment, depression, anxiety, domestic violence, family conflict, and self-esteem issues.
My communication style
Melody is warm and direct, uses humor in her sessions, and embraces complexity. Melody's Clients tend to report that they feel comfortable with her in a setting where you can tell your story in strict confidence. Melody creates a space for exploration.
My journey to mental healthcare
At some point in time, everyone will need some sort of help. I became a therapist to help people overcome obstacles and challenges and live their best life.
My goals for you
I start goal setting by asking Clients what their overall goal really is. Identifying a starting point is my next step. I help my clients face and understand exactly where they are in terms of their goal/s. I explain why it is important that Clients are honest with themselves as well by examining where things currently stand.
My first session with you
During the first session, I work on creating a therapeutic alliance. My main goal is to get to know you and what you hope to achieve by attending therapy.
