Hello, my name is Christine and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. The focus of my practice is helping one to be one's best self by identifying and changing the obstacles that have interfered in your life. I enjoy assisting the client in meeting their goals. I have over 20 years of experience working with adults and children. I have always been supervised by psychiatrists and doctors who were my mentors.
My approach
The theoretical approaches I commonly use are Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Trauma sensitivity, Motivational interviewing, mindfulness, and mediation. I use only evidenced-based practices.
My focus
I commonly work with people who have depression, anxiety, panic attacks, addiction issues Personality Disorder, Bipolar Disorder, divorce, and discovering your true self.
My communication style
Clients say I am very easy to talk to, they feel comfortable in session because I don't judge, and I have a laid-back style with no pressure or judgment. They also, feel supported because if I do not know how to help I will research, use colleagues, and give answers.
My journey to mental healthcare
What drove me to be a therapist was a family member who practiced as a Social Worker and I immediately knew that is what I wanted to do. Over my 20 years of practice, I feel like I never worked a day in my life. I enjoy helping everyone on the journey to their true self.
My goals for you
I approach goals with the client choosing what goals they want to reach. An example is how to stop anxiety and panic attacks. Never do I tell anyone what their goal should be.
My first session with you
In the first session, you can expect that you discuss as much as you are comfortable with the challenges you have and how I think we can work together to make it manageable or change it.
