Hello, I'm Tonya! I am a Licensed Independent Social Worker (MSW, LISW-S). I graduated from Ohio University with a Master's degree in Clinical Social Work. Throughout my career, I have worked in a multitude of settings including hospital based, residential, inpatient and community-based treatment.
My approach
I use an eclectic therapy approach that incorporates many modalities that are person-centered and trauma informed.
My focus
I typically work with individual adult clients. I have training and experience in treating addiction, trauma and severe mental illness.
My communication style
I am a person-centered therapist who believes that the client is the expert on their own situation. I meet the client where they are to focus on their individual goals. My goal is to create a safe environment to build rapport and a therapeutic alliance.

My first session with you
My first session with the client is getting to know them and allowing them to tell their story in a non-threatening or judgmental environment. From there, identifying what they would like to achieve from therapy and setting goals.
