I’m Ariel Cross, a Licensed Professional Counselor in Oklahoma. My goal is to help individuals who struggle with OCD, anxiety, and other difficulties so they can live a healthier, happier life.
My approach
My treatment approach is uniquely tailored to each person I work with. In my work, I often use ideas and strategies from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Exposure and Response Prevention.
My focus
I work well with individuals who are stressed out, burned out, and have been told they’re “overthinkers.” My approach meshes well with people who identify as highly anxious, but have difficulties with managing their symptoms.
My communication style
I work to create a sense of safety and comfort within session. It’s my goal to be as genuine and understanding as possible to create an area where a person feels comfortable talking about difficult problems.
My journey to mental healthcare
A career as a therapist is a fulfilling one that I wouldn’t trade for the world. I love helping others based on their individual stressors, and it’s so amazing to see progress in others through their hard work.
My goals for you
To set goals, I work with clients to identify their realistic ideal self. Together, we identify goals as well as barriers to those goals. We work together to strategically develop a plan to accomplish these things together.
My first session with you
The first session with me will include a few questions about yourself, and it will ultimately involve me getting to know you. I want to know what problems you are currently facing as well as some of your history if you’d like to share it.
