Hi there, I'm Lynn!

Hi! My name is Lynn. I am a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Texas. My license number is 109489. I have worked with clients 20+ in the past eight years. I helped my clients to learn about themselves and to provide them with the tools they need to overcome life obstacles and to improve their medical and mental health.

My approach

My therapy approaches are: Mindful-Stressed-Deduction, Solution Focused, Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive-Behavior, and Dialectical Behavior.

My focus

My typical clients are 20+ and the Geriatric population. I treat clients with stress, anxiety, depression, postpartum depression, ADHD, Bipolar Disorder, impulsive behaviors, anger management, negative self-talk, low self-esteem, poor self-image, poor self-care, procrastination, ambivalence to make changes, in organization, work stress, relationship issues, ineffective communication skills, poor boundaries, inability or difficulty to regulate strong and negative emotions, bereavement, life events changes, caregiver stress, medication management and therapy, medical illness and therapy, and mild to moderate traumatic symptoms.

My communication style

I am open-minded, understanding, an active listener, and calm. I am pleasant and have a positive outlook. I want to make sure you feel comfortable when talking to me.

My journey to mental healthcare

My parents were high school teachers when I was in grade school. My parents also counseled and taught life skills at school. My parents assisted students with managing their mental health symptoms and finding positive ways to overcome obstacles. My parents’ work inspired me. Therefore, I decided to work in the behavioral health field to help people.

My goals for you

You and I will work together to develop goals that are meaningful to you. During the time we are together, we will track your progress. We will celebrate successes and determine areas that need improvement along the way.

My first session with you

During our first session, we will spend most of the time talking about how you have been feeling lately. I will ask questions about how and why you may be feeling that way. We will decide where we should go from there. I will listen to you nonjudgmentally to understand your situation and what would work best for you moving forward.
