Hi! I'm Sue Ann McCray, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social worker. I have 7 years of experience working with survivors of trauma due to domestic and sexual violence, substance use, relationship challenges, anxiety, depression, and more. I have also provided relief for individuals enduring grief and loss and supported individuals on their journey toward building a new life of sobriety. I specialize in both individual and group therapy.
My approach
I tailor my interventions to meet the needs of my clients and utilize an individualized treatment approach. I use a blend of multiple treatment modalities, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), solutions-focused therapy (SFT), and Trauma-focused and mindfulness-based therapy to successfully alleviate symptoms and to help my patients to live a balanced, fulfilling life. I believe that change happens when people are given the guidance they need to draw on their own strengths and realize their potential to live fulfilling happy lives.
My focus
I work with teens, young adults, and adults. I specialize in trauma, substance use, depression, anxiety, women's issues, relationship challenges, and grief and loss.
My communication style
I provide an environment of compassion, acceptance, warmth, and respect that is helpful for clients to gain insight, self-efficacy, and empowerment while working toward an ultimate goal of growth and healing.
My journey to therapy
I have always wanted to be a clinician, even at a young age, and I have a strong passion towards helping others in finding their strengths and assisting them in pushing past adversity.
My goals for you
I meet all clients where they are in their journey, and I collaborate with my clients to create a person-centered treatment plan based on strengths and learning styles. We will set small goals to work towards creating a better life.
My first session with you
Introductions, an overview of the therapeutic process, the ins and outs of therapy with PATH (confidentiality, therapy agreements, etc.), and an assessment (getting to know my client's needs and goals for therapy).
