I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with 20 years of experience in the mental health and substance abuse field, working with adolescents, young adults, adults, and families in a variety of settings. My specialty areas include substance abuse, depression, stress, anxiety, anger, relationships, and self-esteem. I also provide couples counseling.
Cognitive therapy helps people to develop alternative ways of thinking and behaving, which aims to reduce their psychological distress.
I typically work with individuals with anxiety, depression, and co-occurring disorders. I have provided couples and family therapy.
My communication style
I like to create a safe and comfortable telehealth environment. In couple therapy, we will start by setting ground rules. In individual and couples work, you will not be judged but will be challenged at times.
My journey to therapy
Throughout my lifetime, personal and professional experiences contributed to my choice to practice psychotherapy and specialize in various disorders.
My goals for you
“When we are willing to risk venturing into the wilderness, and even becoming our wilderness, we feel the deepest connection to our true self and to what matters the most.” -Brene Brown
