You are stronger than you think! I first want to say congratulations on taking a big step toward your mental health and putting what you need to heal first.
My approach
In a safe and supportive atmosphere, I strive to listen to the needs of each of my clients. I use a variety of methods and techniques to meet the needs of each client, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-Based approaches, Person-Centered therapy, Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Motivational Interviewing, Solution Focused therapy, Strength-Based approaches, Trauma Focused therapy, and Coaching.
My focus
I am willing to see individuals and minors (ages 13-17). My specialties include ADHD, adolescent/teen issues, anger management, anxiety, behavioral issues, child abuse or neglect, codependency, bipolar disorder, coping skills, depression, domestic violence, family conflict, grief, impulsivity, job stress, life coaching, oppositional defiance, parenting, peer relationships, pregnancy/prenatal/postpartum concerns, school issues, self esteem, self-harming, relationship issues, stress, trauma and PTSD, and women's issues.
My communication style
My purpose is to help clients achieve success in their lives by providing tools for coping with their current situations. I promise to provide the best service to help you on your therapeutic journey. My goal is to provide you with the best mental health care possible courteously and efficiently. I understand your need for confidentiality, trust, and respect.
My journey to mental healthcare
I earned my Master of Social Work degree and completed my clinical hours for licensure from August 2018 to December 2020 under the supervision of Mary Walker, LCSW at Eastern State Hospital in Williamsburg, VA. I am passionate about serving and helping individuals in the community.
