Hi there, I'm Vanessa!

Hello!! I'm Vanessa Marin, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), that specializes in Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy with adolescents, families, individuals, and couples.

My approach

I work with clients in adolescence through end of life, including couples & families; I am trained in CBT and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and currently working in training for EMDR & ART. Together, we can improve your mind/body connection- reducing somatic symptoms of nervous system dysregulation and increasing your peace/wellbeing. As humans, we all experience adversity, trauma, and grief... you are not alone and you belong here! My purpose is to create a safe healing, therapeutic space for you to achieve YOUR goals!

My focus

Nervous system dysregulation (e.g. anxiety, depression, PTSD, etc.) can be very distressing! Are you struggling with feeling overwhelmed by events of daily life? Does it feel like you're hit with a "new crisis" one-after-another? Are you striving for balance and healing with depression, anxiety, or unresolved trauma? Are you experiencing grief & loss related to chronic health conditions, for you or within your family? Together, we can resolve trauma and get you feeling more balanced and whole.

My communication style

I am a very conversational therapist! I will not sit quietly while you do all the talking, however, I am very open to feedback and creating a safe space that is warm and welcoming for every client.
